On Feb. 5, 2021, the Board of Trustees of the 91原创 System unanimously approved the renaming of the former George C. Wallace Building on the 91原创 at Birmingham campus. Effective today, the facility is the Physical Education Building.

The 91原创 System continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 outbreak. Today System officials issued guidance advising against any non-essential domestic travel at this time, particularly to large conferences with attendees from multiple states or locations that have declared a state of emergency due to the virus.
Effective today the 91原创 System has cancelled university-sponsored international travel departing during the month of March. Regarding university-sponsored international travel beyond March, those decisions will be assessed as public health conditions warrant.
